Locally Grown Quality Beef. From Our Farm to Your Table.

Our local beef is born and raised in the lush pastures of John Hannah’s north Alabama farm, Acres of Grace. We offer all-natural and hormone-free beef that is grass fed, grain finished and dry aged for 14-days to bring you high-quality beef.

Our current steers are sold out for February 2026. If you are interested in the future, please click the link below and we will follow up when we have our next group of steers.

When you buy directly from the farm, you know where your beef is coming from and how it was raised. It also eliminates the middleman and you get your beef at a very fair price.

We sell our beef by the half or whole share and sell directly to individuals and families. We slaughter seasonally, usually in February, when the beef is well marbled, tender and most flavorful.

Cost of the beef is $5.50 based on hanging weight.

There is a $85 harvest fee and the processing is estimated at $1.05lb hanging weight.

Still have questions? We’ve put together some commonly asked questions to give you more information about Acres of Grace and our beef.

Ordering Beef

When you purchase directly from the farmer, it is “bulk beef” and you can expect to receive enough beef to fill your freezer. You will also pay the same price for the premium cuts such as filet, ribeye, sirloin and roasts that you pay for the ground beef. A rule of thumb – approximately 30% will be roasts, 20% premium steaks and the remaining will be the best ground beef you have ever tasted.

Prior to processing, you will receive a “cut-sheet” to complete for the butcher. The actual cuts will depend on how you want your order processed.

When it is time to order:

  • Pay the deposit.
  • Receive your confirmation.
  • Prior to processing, complete the “cut sheet” and return it as instructed.
  • Final payment for the beef is due at processing.

FULL SHARE

A full share is a whole steer and will yield approximately 480 lbs. of 14-day dry aged and beautifully trimmed beef cut, wrapped and frozen per your instructions. A full share will need about 40 cubic feet of freezer space.

HALF SHARE

If you order a half share you will receive approximately 250 lbs. of 14-day dry aged and beautifully trimmed beef, cut wrapped and frozen per your instructions. A half share will need about 20 cubic feet of freezer space.

PAYMENT & PROCESSING

Prior to the final processing you will receive an email from us with a link to make the final payment. Payment is due on receipt. The butcher/processor is Crowe’s Meat Processing, 66 County Rd 845 in Henager. Your beef will be USDA inspected and the current cost is $1.05 per lb. plus a $85 harvest fee. You will pay the processor directly for the processing when you pick up your beef. Prices are subject to change.
